Pieced Spider Web Class

Perfect table mat for under your treat bowl on the big day. This 18 inch square project would also make a great pillow cover or wall hanging to liven up your Halloween decorations. Much like a truly haunted house this project is not for the faint of heart. You need to be comfortable with triangles and bias piecing, cutting strange angles, and you need to be able to sew a consistent and accurate quarter inch seam. If one of these things is off you’ll be ok, but if they all present big challenges you may need a few more practice projects before this one.

It uses a Kaleidoscope ruler (we have them in stock) and can use Jelly roll leftovers if you have some that are bright and/or Halloween themed. You will also need a long rotary ruler and your cutting things, pins, best press, your sewing machine with threads that blend with your fabrics, and lunch.

Fabrics:

3/8 yard in brights or Halloween prints or a total of 5 WOF strips of leftover jellyroll pieces.

Dark Purple or black for the webbing, a regular quarter yard.

20 inch square of batting and backing for finishing.

October 14, 11-3 including lunch break. $40.00

A much less scrappy version for my Spider Room. Even if tarantulas don’t actually spin webs like this.
