Thanksgiving

We will not be open on Thanksgiving. However, on Thanksgiving Saturday we will have some sales to help you give or make some gifts as we slide into the Christmas season. All Books, Kits, Patterns and Pre Cuts are 30% off. Sale on Saturday the 26th only. Pre cuts includes clearance yards too, and it works out to less than $4.00 per yard. That is a price that can’t be beat. At that price you could even do your gift wrapping with it for a sustainable but still beautifully wrapped gift!!! and yes we carry reusable ribbons too Don’t forget that I still have free redwork patterns till the end of the month, and for the very first time ever the materials kit is part of the sale. You don’t want to miss this.

I may not be able to get a post up next Friday, turkey and travel hangover could get the better of me, so a few more announcements. December third is our last meeting of the Crazy about Monarchs group. We will be going over how to finish it, tying, and display. Plus how to apply your embroidery and crazy quilt skills to other projects. Our Crazy Quilt Club will soon be re birthed and Diane Johnson has a great project cooking for that. Or for some of you our Hand stitchers club may be a good fit. We also have a lovely sampler with a modern feeling that will be our Block of the Month for next year. It is called Bijou Wonder by Blank Quilting and I am working out the options, which will include an in person meeting once a month starting in January, and/or some form of online group support. Details will be shared as soon as I can. The sample quilt will be on loan and in the shoppe the first two weeks of December. Beyond that I will be working this one a few weeks ahead of you and may be using a slightly altered colorway. I am expecting the fabrics any day now and will make my choice. Do watch the facebook page for photos and unboxing of that shipment. As always I leave room in my programs for you to personalize your project too, but wait till we see the fabrics is person before making that choice. It is rated confident beginner, but it’s fun enough for even advanced quilters. The color options and fun setting with multiple light prints as backgrounds keeps it interesting all the way through. I will post more details soon, but I am forming the list of participants already. Sign on today by email. phone call, comment or in person visit.

Lastly, but always, I want you all to know that I am thankful for your patronage, participation and purchases. Enjoy your Thanksgiving festivities and I hope to see you all at our sale.

I love the setting for the new sampler quilt – unique and so appropriate for the contemporary blocks! It really makes the quilt.
