This summer has been so strange.    Many of the usual summer things are off kilter and some things have been cancelled outright.    Quilter’s Trek (formerly Row by Row) is not one of them.   You have only until Sept 8 to pick up your free pattern,  and also to take advantage of the 10% discount on past seasons Kits as suppliimg_6890RxR2019ChocolateHugsandKissesPhotoes last.   I have some from last year.  There are also red and blue kits from Napping Time,   featuring redwork style embroidery of Jake our recently departed store mascot.

In case you need a refresher on the Quilter’s Trek program,   if you are one of the first two to bring a finished quilt to a participating shop you can win a prize of 15 fat quarters.    The quilt must use patterns or kits from 8 shops,  and be fully finished and bound.     You have until October 15 to be eligible for the prize.

The other thing that you should mark your calendars for is Hardscrabble day.   This year the event will be virtual and we are taking part by doing a facebook live event at noon on Saturday Sept 12.  We will be doing demos around the Heart in Hand Prayer Flags.    Doing live demo is a new thing so it should be fun and interesting.   If you can’t make it at that time I am being reassured that the video will be available after.    Our demo will include creating the pattern, using fusible web,  and two embroidery stitches that I get asked about frequently.    If time allows I also have a few antique quilts using said stitches that I will highlight.

We are open noon to 5 Saturdays,  or by appointment during the week.   call or text to 845 758 8541,   or message us throught this blog or facebook.    I have an open appointment at 3 and 4 today if you need to come in and pick up the Quilter’s Trek Pattern.    I will be running a workshop on it as soon as we are allowed again so you may as well come pick it up for free.    See you soon.  Rocky Road 2020 Quilters Trek
