Response to the prayer flag project I suggested last week has been strong.   I am happy to say that I now have fabric blanks and embroidery floss available for the project, for free.   All you need to do is stop by and pick it up.      We will be open Sasturdays from 12 -5,  or during the week by appointment, social distancing rules still apply.

I have put more information about the prayer flag project on it’s own page here on the website,   please check it out.

I have been busy this past week with several projects,  a bunch more masks, a tote bag for Liz to hold her crochet (from the stunning Paula Nadelstern Prints, using the Scrap sack pattern) and the new BOM.   Loving that, and still waiting for the fabrics to arrive so I can start kitting for those of you signed up.   I still have room for a few more so please register today.    I need all of you to participate in our programs so the shoppe can recover from such a long break.   These batiks are simply wonderful,  rich colors nice variety of textures,  and I just love the lights,  they have the feel of an old fashioned shirting, but with the batik flavor.   Wait till you see the finished sample, I know you will just love it.

The fabrics for the shoppe sample before I started cutting them.

Also starting soon is what used to be Row x Row,  now called Quilter’s Trek.   To get the free pattern you still have to show up at the shoppe, but new this year, we can mail kits to you.  I am in the process of setting up credit card processing by phone and internet to make this easier and safer for us all.    Kits will be $20.00 plus ship and handling if you need me to mail it.    I’ll give you exact details in next weeks post.   This program begins on June 21.

And one last thing,  I will be busy making a baby quilt this weekend.   My sister had her baby this morning,  a little girl and everyone is doing well.   They didn’t find out the gender ahead of time,  so now I need to get busy.  This is baby number four for her, but daughter number one so much new is needed.   I wonder if I have anything saved from Liz that I could share.   I’ll think about that as I work on the quilt.   I’m not sure what pattern I want to use,   Yellow Brick Road,  Convergence,  rail fence,  Four square,  what is your favorite fast baby quilt pattern?
