This is going to be a fun weekend. The Dutchess Heritage Quilt Show is Saturday and Sunday in the gym at Dutchess Community College. ( dhquiltshow.org for info and directions ) This and its sister show in alternate years is the one yearly event we travel for. It is always a good show, and it is a great time to re connect with customers who don’t get to Red Hook very often.
I will have lots of great fabrics, some fabulous books, and many of the samples for upcoming classes in our booth. You will be able to get a good look at the two pictured here, and a spectacular quilt by Teri Lucas that I will actually be photographing while it is hanging there so if you don’t make the show it will be in next weeks post. Show specials include discounts on fabric, reduced price patterns, and if you spend $100.00 in our booth free waterproof, zippered tote bags.
We are very excited to be part of this event. But it is
important for you to know that the shop itself will be closed from 1 pm today through the weekend.
This coming Tuesday our handstitchers group will meet and go over the finishing of the Boutis project. That afternoon the stumpwork group will work on our needle lace seahorse. If you have decided what you want to apply him to bring it along.
See you at the Show!!!
