This lady is Threadora. She is a noble from the clan of sprites known as the Thread Eaters. She is a little shy, preferring to simply be known by her handiwork, those lovely colorful thread nests that sometimes appear on the back of our work. She really believes that she is helping us, teaching us to pay more attention to our thread, needle, tension and fabric choices. You will be able to meet her in person at the Wiltwyck Quilt Guild Show tomorrow and Sunday. She will be watching over our booth and I do hope she behaves herself. We will be closing early this afternoon to ge set up, and be closed all day tomorrow, Sat Oct 6. We won’t get much rest over this holiday weekend, the Bicentennial Quilt installation ceremony is Tuesday evening at Town Hall, if you helped with this please be there at 7 for a photograph to add to the historical record. Also Tuesday, the handstitchers club is beginning a new project, Drawn Thread Trees. I will try to keep Threadora out of the classroom for that one. We have the second meeting of Noodles and Doodles on Wednesday, bring your walking foot, and the block of the Month meets on Saturday. Like I said, no rest for the weary. It’s a good thing that we have so much fun with all this. See you at the show!!
